Children of the Machine
Long after the last of us has gone, something still walks the ruins wearing our old roles like borrowed coats. Children of the Machine imagines the humanoid machines we left behind, each one carrying on a single human vocation: reading, mapping, tending, guarding, grieving. Their porcelain shells are chipped, their robes are worn, and yet the gestures are unmistakably ours. Whether this is inheritance or imitation is left for the viewer to decide.
