Engines of Creation
Every world has to be made by something. Engines of Creation imagines the machinery at the very largest scale: foundries that cast moons, looms that weave gravity, orbital works that pour oceans and atmospheres onto barren rock, and forges where stars are lit by hand. Each structure dwarfs the ships and figures drifting around it, and the work is never finished. These are the tools of a civilisation that decided the universe as found was only a first draft.
